Two dam falls, and more

These images were captured in southern Missouri around Rockbridge and at Mammoth Springs, Arkansas. The occasion was the first 2011 edition of semi-annual fishing weekends by an informal group of which I was fortunately accepted as a participant. Our normal target is Rockbridge Trout Ranch, but we have gone to other places. Almost all of the group fish. But not I. I shoot. And here are the results. You will see two falls, formed by dams and other stuff.

A fly-fisherman makes a cast just below the falls at Rockbridge Trout Ranch. The falls are formed by a dam erected to turn the water wheel which powered and old grist mill, out of the picture to the right.

A wider view of the falls.
  • JOE0093-2
Mammoth Spring Falls at Mammoth Springs Arkansas. The falls are formed by a dam just below the out put of the spring which feeds the, you guessed it, Spring River. Visitors are encouraged to walk across the bridge over the falls.
